Forever Frugal Friday ~ Thanksgiving Style

With Thanksgiving less than a week away, I realized I still haven't figured out what I am planning to wear to my two Thanksgiving gatherings.  I came across the two outfits below and think they are both contenders...

This first look I am heavily leaning towards.  I love the casualness of it, but also the instant glamour with the addition of the Sequin Crop Jacket.  You can pick up your own Skinny Knit Pants which are sure to allow some stretch so you can enjoy all the food goodness.  A slouchy white shirt I already own in my closet and some different heels, and I am good to go.

But then I wonder if I shouldn't head down a fancier route with this Lamé Contrast Dress instead.  I love the look with the booties and would perhaps toughen it up a bit with the addition of this Ribbed Collar Leatherette Jacket.  The dress still allows room for your food baby but conceals it well and allows you to look very dazzling.

Which outfit gets your vote?  Or do neither work and you have a better thought of what I should wear?!  Thanks ladies!

  3. Leggings with flats for me, I need to kick it up a knotch from last years sweater shirt.. thing.
I'd go with the top, its not too fancy but brings a little punch with the jacket. :) plus you want something stretchy after dinner!

  4. I like the top one, not too dressy but still gives you a little "fancy" with the sparkly jacket. Make sure your skinny black pants allow enough give though, seriously. Don't do that too yourself! After wearing leggings to TG dinner last year I can't imagine wearing anything else ever again! OR...you could always just put on santa pants like our friend Joey Tribiani! "These are my Thanksgiving pants!" ;)

  5. Pants outfit for Thanksgiving all the way! You want to be comfortable for the holiday that is 99% eating. Plus, it's super cute. Def save the dress for Christmas parties! It's super cute. Hope this helps:)

  6. Agh! I am so getting that sparkle jacket. Thank you for posting this! I've been eyeballing so many of the sparkle tanks at Jcrew, but I love the casualness of the jacket. I am leaning towards the first outfit as well. You want to be comfortable.

  10. I saw that cropped jacket in person this past weekend and it definitely looks more expensive than it is. Total cuteness.
