Forever Frugal Friday ~ Splurge vs. Steal

this past week my gf christy was kind enough to loan me her adorable wildfox gold sparkle heart sweatshirt (in red) for my trip to denver.  it was the perfect travel top as it was super soft, roomy and yet subtly sexy.  we were traveling very early in the morning both flights and it was so great to just be able to throw it on with these leggings (post on those to come) and feel comfortable and cute.

sadly i must return this cute top that i love so much and while i am very tempted to purchase my own, am not as tempted by the price tag.  so you can imagine my delight when i spotted this metallic heart fleece pullover for less than $20 at forever!  i think it is a definite must for my wardrobe and i think i will buy it one (possible two) sizes up for the extra room and slouchiness.  and i quite adore the robins egg blue with the gold.

Forever Frugal Friday ~ World Cup Edition

The World Cup has officially begun this morning!  Cheers to watching games at crazy hours and getting your morning drink on really early!

The first match I will be most likely watching is England vs. USA tomorrow at 11:30 AM (PST) here.

As for the proper attire during "June Gloom" and a sporting event, I am thinking this USA Athletic Top will work just dandy.

And even though I am totally biased towards the US, I won't leave out an option for you England fans, this darling Great Britain Love Tank is girlie and fun in every way.

Regardless of what team you are rooting for, I have to say that I am loving all the enthusiasm and "World Cup Fever" that I am surrounded by.  Be sure to check out a game wherever you live and experience the world's most popular sport!

Forever Frugal Friday

Yesterday I was browsing Bloomies phenomenal sale (an additional 50% off all clearance items) and came across this funky t-shirt by LNA...

The cotton was super soft and the zipper gave it a little flair from all the other tees around. Only problem was that $73 was a bit too much to be spending on a t-shirt. Which is why I was super excited this morning to find this...

True the zipper is vertical versus horizontal but for $9.80, who cares? I am picturing this tee with jean shorts, gladiator sandals and a straw fedora for that concert in the park. Funky and fresh - love it!

Forever Frugal Friday

In honor of the 2008 Olympics coming to a close this weekend, this weeks frugal find is this cute '84 Olympic Tee. These Olympics have been emotional, exciting and tiring (going to bed every night around 1 AM catches up with you fast), and I have loved every second of it. Sport your Olympic pride around town in this cute little tee and jeans.

Cheers!
